Danny Gokey Talks About Making The Move To Country Music

American Idol finalist Danny Gokey is bringing his soulful sound into the country world with the release of his debut album, My Best Days, which hits stores today (3/2). Danny tells us he's thrilled to now be considered a country artist, saying, "I'm a blessed man and been given a lot of great opportunities. So, I'm happy."

The lead single from the album, "My Best Days Are Ahead of Me," is now climbing the country charts, and Danny admits he's been keeping a close eye on the song's progress. Danny will also keep a close eye on where his new album ends up on the chart next week. "I'm thankful," he says. "Whether it hits the top, it's more of a great thing that's happening."
