Gary Allan Goes To Court To Face Alleged Stalker
On May 2, Gary Allan's home in Hendersonville, TN, was broken into and vandalized. It took police 12 days to arrest Katherine Walker for the crime. It now seems that Walker has been a problem for Allan for a number of years.
In court on Wednesday (May 27), Walker did acknowledge that she vandalized Allan's home by throwing patio furniture into a pool. Walker says she was upset because she says Allan was supposed to meet her at a local bar, but did not show up. She went to his house and claims she found another woman's car parked there. That's when she threw furniture into the pool and took items from the other car.
Allan's attorney, Bill Ramsey, states that Walker has been stalking Gary for more than 4 years. "All we want is for Mr. Allan to be left alone," said Ramsey. Walker claims that Allan has been stalking her for 2 years. Walker's case was bound over to a grand jury.
While female acts are more often the victims of stalking, there are cases of male country acts using legal actions to defend themselves against obsessive fans. In the past, the late Bill Monroe and Eddy Arnold had to go to court to file charges against female stalkers.
